Official statistics indicate that Zhengzhou counts 13 established municipal‑level sister cities across Asia, Europe, the Americas and Africa. Letters of intent for sister‑city cooperation have been concluded with 23 cities, alongside friendly exchange accords and memoranda of understanding with a further 20, forming a graduated reserve of potential partnerships.
