Spain's Jaén Province combines a rich cultural heritage with a robust industrial profile, led by automotive and agricultural machinery manufacturing, chemicals and olive oil processing, which together highlight its regional economic strength. As the second-largest city in Ghana and capital of the Ashanti Region, Kumasi boasts abundant historical and cultural resources and distinct advantages in transportation and location. Bandar Lampung, the capital of Indonesia's Lampung Province, features spectacular natural treasures including the Krakatau volcano, the Way Kambas National Park, and countless beaches and islands, granting it exceptional ecological and tourism appeal. In New Zealand, Rotorua is the heartland of the Māori Te Arawa people, the base of the Bay of Plenty Regional Council, and a premier destination for tourism and Māori culture.

While deepening international cooperation at the municipal level, practical exchanges are also being advanced concurrently in its districts and counties. Zhongmu County, Guancheng Hui District, and Xinzheng City under Zhengzhou's jurisdiction have signed letters of intent to establish friendly relations with Jaén City in Spain, Arona in Italy, and Iglesias in Italy, respectively, achieving coordinated engagement at both municipal and district-county levels.

在深化市级国际合作的同时，区县层面也同步推进务实交流。郑州市所辖中牟县、管城区、新郑市分别与西班牙哈恩市、意大利阿罗纳市、意大利伊格莱西亚斯市签署了友好关系意向书，实现了城市与区县层面的双向联动。

Arona, located in Italy's Piedmont region, is renowned for its rich historical heritage and beautiful natural landscapes. Clinging to a 500-meter sheer cliff, Iglesias stands as one of Italy's most beautiful locations, a high-altitude community defined by its exceptional cultural heritage.

其中，哈恩市作为哈恩省首府，地处安达卢西亚地理中心，交通发达，发展潜力巨大；阿罗纳市位于意大利皮埃蒙特地区，历史遗存丰富，自然景观优美；伊格莱西亚斯市则被誉为“意大利最美丽的村镇”之一，坐落在500米高的垂直岩石之上，山城风貌独特，文化遗产丰厚。

As an essential platform for cultural exchange and practical collaboration between cities, international sister-city relations carry profound significance in enhancing mutual understanding and promoting common development. Prior to this, Zhengzhou had already established friendly ties with 48 cities across 36 countries worldwide, building a solid bridge for its connectivity with the globe.

国际友好城市作为城市间开展人文交流、推动务实合作的重要平台，对深化相互理解、促进共同发展具有深远意义。此前，郑州市已与全球36个国家的48个城市建立了友好关系，为郑州与世界的互联互通构筑了坚实桥梁。

This collective signing at both municipal and district levels represents another concrete step by Zhengzhou in advancing high-standard opening up. It lays a solid foundation for in-depth future cooperation in economy and trade, culture and tourism, science and technology, among other fields. It will also further support Zhengzhou's efforts to build itself into a higher-standard international tourist city and inject new vitality into the opening up of Henan and the broader central China region.

此次市、区两级集体签约，是郑州持续推进高水平对外开放的又一实质性举措，为各方未来在经贸、文旅、科技等领域的深度合作奠定了坚实基础，也将进一步助力郑州建设更高水平的国际旅游城市，为河南乃至中部地区的对外开放注入新的动能。
