At the end of May, Yicai Media Group's city-oriented big data platform, Rising Lab, released the Ranking of Cities' Attractiveness in China 2025. Among the 15 new first-tier cities, Zhengzhou ranked 9^th, one-place higher than the previous year, extending its top-ten streak to eight consecutive years.

This ranking was based on a comprehensive evaluation of each city's efforts and resulting achievements over the past year, which were measured against five primary criteria: degree of concentration of commercial resources, urban transport capacity, vitality of the urban population, new economic competitiveness, and future potential. Zhengzhou's strong performance across these five dimensions is precisely the key to its consistent position among the top of the new first-tier cities and its steady rise in the rankings.
