Frost's Descent is autumn's final brushstroke. Plants shed their colors, and hibernating insects fall silent.
As moisture meets the cold, a thin layer of white crystals forms on leaves and grass. That is frost.
Eating persimmons during Frost's Descent is a seasonal tradition passed down through generations. By this time, the cold has helped the persimmons grow sweeter. As dried persimmons rest, a delicate white bloom of natural sugar slowly appears on their surface. Artisans carefully collect this layer of persimmon frost, then simmer and shape it into Persimmon Frost Sugar.
Nature knows when to draw inward, while craftsmanship knows how to distill the essence. Both let beauty deepen in the cold. As autumn comes to an end, may you endure the chill of changing seasons, and take all the wind, frost and sunlight of the year, slowly simmering them through quiet patience into a sweetness that lingers.
